Kaufman Athletic Training and Fitness Center Rules and Regulations

The Kaufman Athletic Training and Fitness Center opened on Monday, October 22, 2018. Regular hours will be 4:30 a.m.. - 11:00 p.m.. 7 days/week, 365 days/year. The Fitness Center is open to the public. Kaufman Athletic Training is available to current WACO Athletes and Coaches only.  Memberships are obtained in person, in WACO Central Office, located within WACO High School. The Center does not host classes, offer day passes and is not staffed by a trainer, or supervisor. 

 

The Kaufman Fitness Center features equipment for a total body workout. The Center includes the following equipment:

  • 3- Pre Cor Treadmills
  • 3- Pre Cor Elliptical
  • 1- Pre Cor Recumbent bicycle
  • 1- Pre Cor Upright cycle
  • 1- NuStep Recumbent Cross trainer- wheelchair accessible
  • 1- SciFit Recumbent stepper
  • 1- Concept2 Rower
  • 2- Helix Lateral Trainers
  • 8- Hoist weight lifting components. Each component works two muscle groups for a total body workout
  • Full set of dumbbells and kettle bells with 2 benches

Members have access to Women's and Men's Locker rooms. These locker rooms are separate from Athlete locker rooms.  Each members locker room has multiple stalls and sinks and a single, private use shower and sink with locking door. Small lockers are available for use during work out. Locks are not provided and we ask that you only use/lock the lockers while you are working out. 

  • A water bottle filling station and a drink vending machine are accessible in the Common Entry. Doors are locked 24/7 and all members should avoid propping doors open. 
  • Small cubbies are located inside the Fitness Center for you to store items during your workout. WACO Foundation and WACO Community School District is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Three televisions are provided for your workout enjoyment, or distraction.
  • Pre selected overhead music plays and there is a sound control on the far back wall next to the emergency exit. We make every attempt to choose a wide variety of family friendly music.
  • Please be courteous and turn your cell phones to silent and avoid phone calls in the Fitness Center.  
  • Please help us keep the Fitness Center clean and sanitary. Clean, non street shoes are expected to be worn in the Fitness Center and sanitizing wipes are provided for you use. To help spread germs please be sure to wipe down any equipment you use, handles as well as seats, and touchscreens. 
  • Personal yoga mats may be used in the Center, however, we ask that you do not leave mats when not in use. Please be mindful of the space and leave easy, clear paths for other members to move about the Center. 
  • The Kaufman Fitness Center is under video surveillance.

*No children are allowed in the Fitness Center at anytime. This is for 8th grade and younger. For the safety of our members and children please help us keep everyone safe.
