WACO PTO

Welcome to the WACO PTO page. Thank you for being a part of a wonderful organization that is vital to our elementary school community.

The WACO PTO is an independent non-profit organization, which operates outside the district’s legal authority.

WACO PTO plays a very important role.

WACO PTO:

  • Gifts money to teachers each year for their classroom
  • Sponsors multiple class field trips
  • Organizes meals for Parent/Teacher conferences twice each year
  • Organizes gifts for American Ed Week and Teacher Appreciation week
  • Hosts a Santa Shop
  • Purchases 100’s of books for R.A.M.M. (Read A Million Minutes)
  • Hosts an Annual Literacy Night
  • Purchases snacks during Iowa Testing for kids
  • Hosts a year-end celebration for the students
  • And much more……

Without the WACO PTO, teachers and students would lose great support.  It is important that we keep PTO strong. We encourage parents to participate in any way that they can.

The WACO PTO Mission Statement:
We believe in and will emphasize the importance of parents as partners and supporters in the education process. The PTO will work to promote and provide assistance in the areas of educational support; social events; fund-raising; district representation and parent involvement in the WACO Elementary School.
We are parents and teachers working together to better our school and community to ensure a safe, productive, and enjoyable environment for our children and their families to live and grow.
The PTO will be a positive, independent group. We will work in conjunction with WACO staff, Administration and parents.
