Mr. Rick Moorman

This is my 12th year of teaching physical education and health to the students here at Waco High School.  Prior to coming to the Waco School District, I taught and coached at Iowa Wesleyan College, Wayne State College, Northwest Missouri State University and Ellsworth Community College.

My educational background consists of earned hours in Doctoral Studies with an emphasis area in Health Education, and a sub-specialization in Health Promotion and Wellness Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master’s Degree in Physical Education from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri.

Currently, I am also the interim pastor at Oakland Mills Community Church in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, as well as a member of the Building Leadership Team here at the high school for the 2013-2014 school year.  I am a part of two Halls of Fame and have coached a couple of players who were fortunate to play in the National Football League.


I am married to my wonderful wife, Lori for 27 years, have two kids, Kayla who is an account manager and lives in Ankeny, Iowa and Brandon who is a sophomore in the computer engineering department at Iowa State University.
