During May Term, 6th grade classes have been working on statistics projects! Students developed statistical questions and created surveys to collect data. They used the data they collected to create dot plots, histograms, and box plots. Check out some of our 6th grade statisticians showing off their hard work!

4th grade took a field trip to Washington! First stop was Halcyon House where they were served doughnuts and chocolate milk, then they broke out into groups and participated in various activities (bingo, trivia, exercising, "fishing," and reading) Second stop was Paws & More animal shelter where they leaned how to feed baby kittens, played with the cats/dogs, and filled treat toys for the animals. We want to thank these businesses for providing a fun experience for our students!

Elementary Warrior Shield winners and our adult of the week, Mr. Crawford!
Its another great week to be safe, respectful and responsible and sometimes it pays off in more ways than one. Pictured in addition to this week's winners is a young man who chose to play a game with Mrs. Settles as his prize. Who do you think won???

A big shout out to Washington County Extension and WACO FFA for putting on Ag Day for our kids today!

One of the fun things 6th graders got to do at Fun City was bowling! Huge thanks to PTO for making this trip possible!

PreK Prom was a blast! Many thanks to our PreK staff for putting this on and to all families who came!

Hello WACO!
Due to predicted poor weather tomorrow, we are going to postpone the 3rd-6th grade relays. They will now be held at the secondary building on the afternoon of May 3rd. Our 6th grade students will still go for their visit tomorrow morning, but will come back and have a normal afternoon at school. Thank you

Soccer/Softball parking and admission change.
WACO is making a change to the admission location for Soccer and Softball games held at the high school. Due to the lack of adequate parking locations and safety concerns on the north side of the school building, there will no longer be an admission gate by the softball field. All admission to games played at the WACO Athletic Complex will be at the main ticket booth by the concession stand. This change allows for more handicap parking and more organized parking of other vehicles. We understand that this will increase walking for some, and hope to provide rides for people in need of assistance.

The WACO Relays have been cancelled for tonight (4/4). There is not make up date.

WACO Schools will be dismissing today, March 31st, at 1:15 pm. Have a safe afternoon.

We will be watching tomorrow's weather as the forecast has the potential for severe weather in the afternoon. Please stay alert for any messages we could send out about school dismissal. Our goal is to make sure we can get students home safely or wait until it is safe for travel. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Reminder: Elementary concert tonight at 5:30!

Just a reminder about our snow make up day next Friday, March 31st. We will have school that day to make up for the day we missed in February. Enjoy your weekend!

6th graders have been learning about how molecules behave in solids, liquids, and gases. What better way to learn about molecule behavior than to experiment with Oobleck, a mysterious substance from Dr. Seuss's Bartholomew and the Oobleck! The 6th graders tested the substance to determine if it is a solid or liquid, based on what they know about molecule behavior.
